Improved design of our counter-rotating twin screw extruder
It becomes more practical for PVC and PET.
Opposite rotating of the twin screws is the main difference from a co-rotating twin screw extruder. This feature results in less shearing which is the major advantage we design for. It has been successfully used in PVC industry, in PET compounding and recycling industry, as well as in many other fields.
A complete understanding of features of a counter-rotating twin screw extruder makes us possible to further improve its advantage and to minimize its disadvantage. We reconstruct the design of screw elements and therefore of the screw profile. So this newly-developed extruder has become more and more efficient with characteristics of:
▲higher output
▲enhanced devolatilization function
▲reinforced compounding effect
▲stable temperature control
GTY series of our parallel counter-rotating twin screw extruder for PET process
Approximate-to-0 viscosity drop is available in polymer process now. Nanjing Gorray has contributed efforts to enlarging the exposure area to the extreme vacuum during process, which fully releases low-molecular contaminants out of the compounded material. Meanwhile, weak shearing ensures controllable temperature during the whole extrusion and easy-to-eat feeding system is optimized for fluffy materials such as bottle flakes, film scraps and chopped fibers. Compared with traditional solution, this process requires no agglomeration and no pre-drying, which sharply decreases cost of labor and energy consumption.
